I read, I write, I eat... with passion. I'm not a health nut - but - I am interested in eating healthier foods; interested in changing the diets of the people I care about to ensure we lead healthier lives. I am constantly researching foods, ingredients, recipes, etc. to try and determine the best possible way to maintain on a budget. 

I am a "Foodie" ~ I enjoy ALL aspects of food ~ Cooking, Eating, Dining (yes this *is* different than just "eating") Preparing and Presenting ~ All of it. I have been cooking since I was 7 years old, perfecting some of my recipes since that time ~ I am now sharing my love of food with my kids ~ teaching them how to cook and appreciate the whole experience. I'm one of those people that will always be found at the BBQ or in the Kitchen when there's a family or friendly gathering happening ~ I'm the one that *always* does the cooking ~ I like it that way.

I generally have a lot to talk about ~ my opinions are varied on just about every subject there is. I find intelligent discussion on just about everything mentally stimulating, though I have a tendency to discuss Entertainment (Television, Movies, Books, Music, etc), Politics and Religion most frequently.

I am an entertainment junkie ~ honestly ~ there isn't much happening in the entertainment industry that I don't know about before most everyone else. I pay attention to all the details and enjoy discussing what I know. I love good television and good films ~ I have a much clearer idea (than "professional critics") about what makes good television and/or films ~ I used to critique movies & television shows on one of my blogs and I may find myself doing that here from time to time as well.

I have an intense interest in Theology ~ not just one religion but ALL religions. I have my own personal views and beliefs (they are often very surprising to people after they have heard me discuss religion the way that I do) but I am constantly exploring all other methods and systems of belief. I find the topic of religion ~ regardless of which ~ highly intriguing.

Politically speaking ~ my views are pretty "Centrist", I used to joke that I am a Conservative Democrat/Liberal Republican. For example: I do not believe that children should be *made* to pray or participate in (what used to actually be a required class in some areas) Theology class while in Public Schools, though, I have an extreme distaste for our Pledge of Allegiance being removed and/or changed (to remove religious "over tones") to satisfy the Separation of Church and State. That isn't a "Christian" based distaste - that is simply Patriotism. I believe in Individual Liberty/Personal Rights/Equal Rights ~ like EVERY American should...
